The 16th President Of The American People

Abraham Lincoln: The 16th President of the United States of America. A nation’s unifier, human rights and anti-apartheid advocate, which is evident in the 13th Amendment, for which he played a great role in its passage, that ended slavery in the USA, Lincoln got his certificate to practice law 3 years after the enactment of Illinois Law allowing a citizen with good moral character to practice law after procurement of certificate from the court in Illinois.

Prior to getting his certificate, Lincoln had attended school unknown to other historians knowledge and consciousness although he was also a self-taught man.

Simplification of cases through logical oral argument was the highlight of his law practice.

Prior to be elected as president, Lincoln was also a member of the US House of Representatives. He was also the Commander-in-Chief during US Civil War.

Also, the first US President to be assassinated.

Abraham Lincoln who is referred to as the Great Emancipator and the Savior of the Union is considered as one of the 3 greatest American Presidents.

The Surrogate Of The President

Jesus Quevenco, the surrogate of the late President Ferdinand Marcos whom the former met in 1964.

Quevenco was a former businessman who owned an insurance company before in Negros Province. Having served as a double for the late strongman for 3 ocasions, Quevenco later quitted his sideline after he and his wife, Thelma, were mobbed in many instances by radical students and anti-Marcos rallyists in early 1970s.

In 2014, Quevenco, who outlasted the former president for 25 years, died of lung ailment at the age of 90 years old.

A Popular Peace Sign

The most popular peace sign symbol:

This peace sign symbol was originally intended for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament ---especially the British Nuclear Disarmament---but became widely known to date.

The peace sign was derived using "semaphores" and made its debut during Aldermaston march in 1958 in protest against British nuclear weapons.

Although, many claimed that the inverted "V" had various and eerie interpretations for some people then. Presently, it remains one of the most popular peace sign symbols.

Conclusive Evidence In The Killing Of Jack Kennedy

John F. Kennedy
It's interesting to share (here on my blog) a never-ending, mind-boggling story which has been considered  to date as one of the most highly controversial and unresolved detective investigations in the world.

The Presidential Limousine and The Convoy Passing Elm Street
Surprisingly, there has been another theory behind the assassination of the 35th President of the United States, John Fitzgerald Kennedy. The new theory came out from a relentless Australian police detective whose theory was based on the two-decade investigation of Howard Donahue. I raise the point for my own awareness and for the understanding of some. The gist of the topic started when I read the December 2013 issue of the Reader's Digest (concurrently the same year when this theory emerged [in its 50th year]) that allegedly referring to another assassin (other than Lee Harvey Oswald) who was responsible for the killing of the flamboyant, charming and youngest US President.

On the afternoon of November 22, 1963, seconds upon entering the notorious Elm Street in Dallas, Texas, with US President and First Lady John Kennedy together with Texas Governor and Mrs John Connally aboard a newly modified rag top down Lincoln Limousine, a firecracker-sound explosion was heard that allegedly fired from nearby Texas School Book Depository. The first 2 shots were very traumatic but the 3rd and last shot to the visiting President was the fatal of them all because of the impact-exploding effect of the last bullet that purportedly from the Colt AR-15 (a rifle issued to a presidential detail) which was actually heard on the spot and its gunpowder was sensed within the President's back up car. The question was raised in this particular theory: Was there more than one gun in play—aside from the gun used by Oswald?

The former Secret Service Agent, George Hickey, then a neophyte presidential detail, was suspectedly behind the last fire that accidentally blown the head of the former US President. The conspiracy theory arose when the corpse of the late President Kennedy was removed hastily after two hours, including other possible evidences for investigation, in Parkland Hospital. So if indeed Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone gunman or accomplice in the crime, why the Secret Service tampered possible evidences that would somehow lead to the resolution of the highly controversial crime? Was Lee Harvey Oswald a fall guy? Was there a cover up to deny the blunder made by the Secret Service in securing the life of the POTUS (President of the United States)? These are the questions hounding history until now.

Baguio City: Summer Capital Of The Philippines since 1904

Baguio City has been the “Summer Capital of the Philippines” since 1904 after the declaration of the Philippine Commission on a session held at Old Baden-Powell Hall—atop the famous Session Road.  Five years later, in September 1909, the Philippine Assembly incorporated Baguio (from “Ibaloi” name, “bagiw” means moss) as a chartered city. Subsequently, Baguio City celebrated its centenary on September 1, 2009.

The Beatles: Unknown To Others

The Heyday Of The Beatles

Originally , the Beatles was a group of five lads comprised of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Stu Sutcliffe (bass), and Pete Best (drummer). The mop-top haircut trademark of the Beatles was first introduced to Stu Sutcliffe, the former Beatle, by photographer Astrid Kircherr. Later, the bass guitarist Stu Sutcliffe left the group and was engaged to photographer Kircherr. Meanwhile, the group met Ringo Starr in Hamburg, Germany. Then, Ringo was with Rory Storm and the Hurricanes.
